Richard Britton Supporters Club Stall at The Irish Motorcycle and Superbike Show at the Kings Halls
The Richard Britton Supporters Club would like to send many thanks to all the people who made both the stall at the Irish Motorcycle and Superbike Show at the Kings Hall possible, and a success.
Our first thanks must to Gillian and Wallace of Road Racing Ireland for kindly offering us the stall to begin with. Our thanks and appreciation goes to Stephen Davidson for his kind donation of two framed photographs of Richard together with a copy of his brilliant book Ragged Edge, and the 2006 Road Racing Calendar. Incidentally, if you attended the show you may have noticed, or even participated in our “Race Richard Britton” game on the playstation. The deserved winner of the competition was Leon Farrell from Strabane (4.55.95) who won the Ragged Edge Book, and our runner up winning the 2006 Road Racing Calendar was Gary Jeffers from Cookstown (4.57.58) – Well done to both, it was quite a battle!
A final thank you goes to all of you who came up to the stall and shared your memories and thoughts of Richard with us. We saw a lot of emotion at the stall throughout the weekend and we were happy to share it with you all. Our t-shirts and badges went extremely quickly, so apologies to those people that couldn’t get their size or colour – these items have been re-ordered and will be available on this website shortly.
We are very grateful for all the help and donations that we receive. All of the money that we raise of course goes straight to Richard’s family.
