A great evening and a well packed Royal Hotel in Cookstown was the setting for the Richard Britton Auction / Chatshow event Organised by Mr Noel Johnston Nibbles Catering. The night started with the Chatshow which included guests Chris Kinley of Manx Radio with a panel of riders they included Ryan Farquhar / Ian Lougher / Stephen Thompson /John Burrows / Martin Finnegan etc.
On interviewing Dungannons's John Burrows John was asked the Question what was he doing for the 2006 season John Replied I will remain with My Sponsor Hugh Murphy HM Motorsports Homes I will have a 600 and 1000 Superbike Machines John also went on to say he enjoyed the Manx GP 2005 where he got a good 3rd place and wished he kept up the pace to take a better position. John was also asked the question what was his special moment with Richard Britton John Replied Checking to see who had the bigger of bellies through our leathers at the TT. When asked what do you think of the press? John Replied Any Press is good Press. When asked what do you think of the new Bush Circuit? John Replied “A lot of work needed defiantly a great circuit will take a year or two to get it into shape”.
Moving on to Dungannon's Ryan Farquhar when was asked the Question what was he doing for the 2006 season Ryan Replied As you all know “I’ve signed up to ride for TAS Suzuki I hope to be doing much of the same as I have been doing for the last few years”. ”I want to bring success at National and International standard For TAS Suzuki”. Ryan was also asked what was his special moment with Richard Britton, Ryan replied “At the riders briefing at the Ballybunion I was holding the TRI Color Flag all Richard could do was Laugh at me”. On asking Ryan what he thought of the press Ryan said “A few guys make up things to suit themselves”. Ryan was also asked could he see himself ride a Classic. Ryan said If the right bike came along id like to ride it at the Manx GP.
Next up it was Stephen Thompson's turn to be asked the same questions Stephen was asked the question what was he doing for the 2006 season? “I was offered Kawasaki but will stick with my Suzuki I hope to do NW 200 UGP MACAU GP and choose other races myself in between”. Stephen was also asked what was his special moment with Richard Britton to which he said “calling Richard “Reggie" and buying shoes in China”.
Next in the spotlight it was Ian Lougher’s turn to answer questions. Ian was asked what was he doing for the 2006 season? “I’ve a team setup called "Team Blackhorse Finance" I also hope to ride a Classic next year at the Manx GP”. Ian was also asked what about Stobart Honda? Ian replied “I’m still talking to people about this nothing has been sorted with Stobard yet !! . Ian was also asked the question what was his special moment with Richard Britton. “I’ve two many memories even to choose one” .
Martin Finnegan, how did you find Macau? Martin replied “I had a few problems with the bikes and finished 15th but I really enjoyed it”. “It is a dangerous track but riders treat it with respect “.When asked the question what was Martins favorite circuit Martin replied. “Favorite national race would be the Ulster GP Also Skerries although I feel a lot of pressure at Skerries on my home Circuit as all the fans expect me to do well” George McCann was Speaking to Martin Finnegan .
