Over 1000 bikers for Richard Britton Ride Out

Over 1000 bikers took to the streets last weekend for the Richard Britton Ride Out which was a fantastic success with bikers turning up from all over Ireland to pay their respects to one of the greatest motorcycle riders to come out of this country.
The Ride Out met in Cavan and from there travelled the short run to the final resting place of Richard's grave. Here, Father Moore said a few prayers and thanked everyone for coming to pay their respects. Organisers of the run The Daingean motorcycle club and the Route 32 club presented Willy, Margaret & Maria with plaques, one depicting Richards’s helmet and one depicting the logo for the run, Richard's number 8, with a picture of his trademark wheelie skills in the middle. The plaques were all signed on the reverse by riders who took part in the run.
The clubs involved would like to thank you the supporter for all your kindness and generosity and wish to praise how well everybody followed the marshals in what was a very successful event that turned out to be bigger than expected.
