Cadwell Park News

Enniskillen rider Richard Britton successfully completed 32 laps of the Cadwell Park Circuit in Louth Co-Lincolnshire on Tuesday on the DMR Supersport 600 Honda and first impressions of the machine were very pleasing.

The ex-Ten Kate tuned Vitrans Honda which was previously ridden by Michael Laverty in the 2003 British Supersport Championships, is a ‘rocket’ according to Britton, who this evening said that he was only riding the machine to about 70% of its capability.

Richard: "The wee bike feels great. It turns in and out of corners very well and it has plenty of grunt. Today was only about putting the bike through its primary outing and for me to get to know the feel of the bike. We could have done with different gearing for the Louth circuit but everything worked out well. It is even very good at ploughing (laughing coming into to the left right flick before the start and finish, I managed to go left and straight on. I got it stopped which was very pleasing as I did not want to bin it on my first outing with Des Moore in attendance. All in all, it was very worth while and I will now be going to Kirkistown for more track time next Wednesday".
