Richard Britton heads to Faugheen Races

Richard Britton heads South this weekend as he takes in the Faugheen Road Races near Carrick-on-Suir on the Cork Killkenny border.

Britton, who will be making his first visit to the event, will have his 600 Regal spec Honda and his 600 DMRR Supersport Honda at his disposal for the weekend.

The meeting which does not allow machines of over 750cc to be raced on this tight circuit will see Britton contest the DMR Honda for its first visit to the open roads since the Isle of Man TT races in June. Britton is hopeful of some better luck this weekend after a very lean spell of result mainly due to machine problems which he now believes has been solved.

"Its time to kick some ass" said Britton, who even after his torrid time on the roads, is still able to share a joke. "My luck has to change. I am running out of time while everyone else is running away with the race results. The DMR Honda is capable of winning at this event and I think that I will be right up their with whoever is running at the front. My only down side is that I have never rode around this circuit so most of the rest of the boys will have a slight advantage over me. Still, I seem to be able to learn a circuit quite quickly so fingers cross" said Richard.
