Kells Britton's ill forutne continues

Richard Britton’s spell of ill fortune continued at Kells on Sunday when the Enniskillen rider only managed to finish in the 600 race after his big PJ O'Kane Suzuki again cried foul while he was in contention with the early race leader in both the Superbike Races. Richard takes up the story. " I was really looking forward to Sundays races at Kells which is one of my favourite meetings of the year. The track conditions were difficult with wet patches in places, but overall it was quite fine around most of the circuit. I finished in fourth place in the 600 race but I should have done a lot better. I was dicing with Ryan Farquhar but over shot the road end before the start and finish area which dropped me back to fourth place. By the time I had gathered myself together again the boys had disappeared".

"In the first Open race, I was again racing for the lead with Farquhar and company before the big Suzuki started to cut out and stop on me. I just could not understand why the bike was doing this. The same again happened in the Grand Final when again, the big Suzuki just ground to a halt and I failed to finish either of the big races. To say I am gutted would be an under statement" said Richard.

BRITTONS BIG BIKE PROBLEMS FOUND
After twelve weeks of a mysterious fault on the PJ O'Kane Suzuki which has forced Enniskillen’s Richard Britton to have a string of DNF's at the TT, Kells, Walderstown, and Skerries, it was at last pin pointed to a faulty Cam sensor which is valued at about £60.

" Richard rang me on Monday morning to tell me that he had found the problem to his problems on the big bike said Willis Marshall. It appears that a faulty Cam senor was making the bike cut out and literally stop. The only way to find this out was to let the big bike run until she stopped and on the computer readout it showed a fault reading C11 (Cam Sensor). When Richard was riding the big bike and she stopped, it was natural for him to try and start her again which meant that the on board computer re-set herself thus not allowing the reading to be read. Hopefully this will let Richard have a chance to show himself at the front where he belongs".
