Clutch cable cost Britton podium place

A broken clutch cable most defiantly cost Richard Britton a top podium place in Wednesdays Junior TT races in the Isle of Man when half way through lap one of the four lap race, Richard found that he had no clutch coming through Karrowmoor.
Sitting in second place at the time just seven seconds down on John McGuinness, Richard pushed on in the four lap race and managed to finish in 4th place just three seconds down on third place man Jason Griffiths.
"I just can not believe my luck this week. The DMR Honda is a real rocket and I know that I could have pulled John in a little and who knows, a good pit stop could have put me in the lead. I am so disappointed. I have had three outing on the bike and I have encountered trouble at all three races. The most frustrating thing is they have all been wee minor things. I went for the clutch going into Karrowmoor and there was nothing at all. The little nipple that holds into the clutch lever had worked its way out. I have never seen that happen before. If you were trying to take it out you would need a pair of vice grips to do it. Still, 4th place wasn't bad and hopefully I can now get through Fridays two races without any problems. That's the TT for you" said Richard.
