Richard Britton continued excellent TT Practice
Richard Britton continued his excellent 2004 TT Practice around the Isle of Man Mountain circuit on Wednesday night, by topping the leader board in both the 400 and Production 1000cc class's.
Describing his evening as one of his best ever, the popular Enniskillen rider is hopeful that he can do the same and better come race week.
In the TT Formula One Practice session, Britton took the 5th fastest time of the evening at 123.02mph on his O'Kane Suzuki, just two seconds slower than his fastest lap ever of the 37 mile public road circuit.
In the Production 600 session, Britton finished with 3rd fastest time at 116.83mph just behind Martin Finnegan and Bruce Anstey.
The Lightweight 400 practice saw Britton top the leader board with a lap speed of 109.98mph on his John Harris Honda, the fastest class lap of the week.
Richard then followed that up with a fastest lap of 121.59mph in the Production 1000 free practice to take the number one slot in front of Jason Griffiths and Mark Parrett.
" That was a very good nights practice" smiled Richard. As I said at the beginning of the week, all the bikes are really going very well. I am determined to get a podium somewhere along the line and the top step is not to far away. We had no practice today Thursday, but we have final practice on Friday which will determined the Senior starting numbers. I can not see to many getting any faster than what we have done so far this week, but John McGuinness is really on a mission this week and he is a major threat to everyone. I will use Fridays practice just to get the final settings before race week, but with the F1 on Saturday, we will probably concentrate on the big Superbike. Its now all down to me" said Richard.
