4 Laps at the NW for Britton
Richard Britton only managed to complete four laps in the first practice session for Saturdays Junction One International North West 200 on Tuesday night after practice was delayed after two incidents in the first session when Ian Hutchinson and Jay Bellers-Smith crashed out at Primrose Corner and Black Hill respectively.
Richard, who was looking to get his first outing on the North Coast circuit on the Rizla Suzuki was unable to compete on the superbike and in fact, like the rest of the Superbike riders, will not get a chance until Thursday evening.
Richard did compete four laps on the DMR 600 Honda in which he set fifth fastest time at 111.242mph.
"The Honda is going really well. The suspension was a little hard and after the first 2 laps we pulled in and soften it but it was just a little too much. Hopefully we can get it right on Thursday night. It was quite cold and the circuit was a little slippy so I think we all took it a little easy. I am hoping to get to a track on Wednesday to try and get some practice on the Rizla Bike before Thursday, so that is about it" said Richard.
Richard will now concentrate Thursdays practice on the Superbike.
